Since a young age, I have been wearing night contact lenses as part of the ortho-k program. I have found it very convenient although the first few months I struggled to adapt to the experience. It has helped me greatly in that I can clearly see when I’m at school, volunteer, work or just going along in my everyday tasks. I find it particularly advantageous compared to my other friends who wear day lenses in that I don’t face the trouble of having issues with my lenses in the daytime.
However, with its advantages also comes some issues. For example, the previous lenses I had seem quite prone to breaking although I do take care of them very attentively. The cracking and fragility of theses lenses have led my parents to begin considering other vision correction methods, such as glasses; however, with the current pair, I feel I would rather stick with night lenses due to its convenience and my own preferences. Another downside is the price of the lenses, which is something that never occurred to me until being scolded by parents to pay for them myself following an incident of lost lenses.
Regarding my experience at this particular office, I have always admired the cleanliness and its welcoming interior design. Although it is situated very far from my home, I feel comfortable commuting here for check-ups. As well, I am impressed with the professionalism of every individual on the staff team; I specifically appreciate having phone calls to remind me of an appointment as I am constantly forgetful. Overall, I find that having eye checkups here and being in the ortho-k program very good.
The ortho-k lenses are overall a magnificent product. I never needed to try the ordeal of the glasses sitting on my nose dancing in front of my eyes and making my eyes stifling.
The staff at the office are magnanimous with a great sense of humour. At first the product isn’t the most comfortable thing to be in your eyes, but soon (about 1-3 weeks) you will get used to it and have no problem wearing the product. My overall experience with the ortho-k lens is positive.
Whenever I enter the office, the front desk always greets me warmly and makes me feel welcome. I got my contact lenses a few months ago, and now I can see perfectly. Although I can see very clearly, if I miss one night, the next morning my vision turns really blurry. But overall, I think the contact lenses work great, as well as their service.
I’ve been wearing the lenses for 12+ years now and I’ve had no problems whatsoever.
It’s been great knowing that I don’t have anything in my eyes throughout the day and that I can still see perfectly. It’s especially convenient for times when I go swimming or go on flights.
I would recommend these lenses for anyone who is considering a less risky / invasive approach than laser eye surgery.
Having worn contact lenses for approximately 5 years, the overall experience has proven to be extremely beneficial. Before, I had to make sure to keep my glasses on my person at all times, so as to be prepared whenever the situation calls for me to have need of them.
Now, as long as I remember to wear the lenses every night, I know I’ll have 20/20 vision for at least an entire day. They’re comfortable, easy to wear, and consistently dependable.
Every time I go to the eye doctor, I’m super-excited. Why? That’s because I love the doctor’s nifty little tools & gadgets, and I like to know what condition my eyes are and how to protect them. My favourite test is when on the screen there is a picture of a circle in the middle with lines around it.
I find that the lenses have helped me concentrate and have made my life easier in general. The contacts are easy to put on and take off and easy to manage.
The appointments are quick and efficient and the staff are friendly. Only issue is having to travel to Metrotown for the appointment (not a big deal since it’s only every 6 months.)
Ortho-K is fantastic. I must say that ortho-k from time to time doesn’t work. It is rare, but sometimes I wake up with blurry vision. It isn’t always consistent, but I have worn these lenses for over 5 years now and I can confidently say it has made my life much more simple.
I am not burdened by wearing glasses or wearing contacts throughout the day. I can do activities without ever thinking if I might lose my contacts or break my glasses.
I’m glad I made the switch to ortho-k.
I’ve been to many other optometrists and this is the most professional, cleanest, and includes very friendly staff. My overall experience here has been wonderful. I’m greeted every time I come in with polite and well-mannered staff.
The lenses here have changed my life. I do not like wearing glasses so this is a far better alternative. My vision is great and very comfortable. I don’t have to worry about red marks on my nose from glasses ever again! The lenses are not inexpensive but it is definitely worth it and it can seriously change lives!
I really like wearing the night contact lenses because it’s very convenient since you just sleep with them in. I haven’t had any problems with them and my eyesight is very clear every day I wear them. Because I wear them at night, I never have to worry about them becoming dry or irritating like daytime contact lens wearers since I’m sleeping.
Ortho-K has helped with my vision throughout elementary school until now. Ortho-K helps me the most during all of my schooling because it allows me to sit wherever in the classroom and receive the best vision for learning.
My experience with Dr. Lee and Dr. Wu have been great as they were informative to my treatment and for my questions about my treatment.
